In spite of the fact that I haven't contributed much in the way of reading material here at WITFITS in months, I went ahead and signed up for
Twitter.
Yet another service I can join and then ignore a month later.
For those not in the know, Twitter is sort of a micro-blogging service, centered around 140 character (max) text posts. It can be posted to via the website, SMS, instant message, or third party plugin.
If blogs answer the question "What did your cat do yesterday?" then Twitter answers the question "What did your cat do 3 seconds ago?" No,
seriously.
I don't know why I signed up. I guess cause I wanted to follow all the cool people, like
Veronica, and
Leo, and
Ze. Or maybe I just figured that I don't have time to write the overly wordy prose I used to on this site and so perhaps a micro-blogging tool would be a good outlet for my bursts of micro-creativity.
Although, in all fairness it'll probably look like this:
Kato KatonianI just ate peanut M&Ms. about 5 minutes ago from web
I'm eating peanut M&Ms. about 6 minutes ago from web
I like peanut M&Ms. about 7 minutes ago from web
Not exactly Pulitzer material, unless they've started giving out a prize for spouting off whatever is on the top of my head (*crossing fingers*).
If I keep up with it you can follow me at:
