Comedy Central's South Park version of Mr. Crowe

Breaking news! This just in (well, as of Friday, the 25th): Russell Crowe's unfortunately named band 30 Odd Foot of Grunts has decided to call it quits. According to a Yahoo! News article, tofog (as Crowe refers to them on their website) never landed on the charts nor had a hit single in spite of making six albums. The article cites the fact that their 2002 release sold only 156 copies in its first week in stores in Great Britain. To put it in gaming parlance: they totally got 0wned.

When asked how they felt about the news, public opinion was divided:

"Russell Crowe had a band?"

"Thirty Odd Foot of what now?"

"I'm not surprised, they peaked at Gaslight."

"Didn't that guy threaten some award show producer for cutting off his poem or something? Man, what a dick."

So join me and the rest of the world in marking this event by completely not giving a shit.

Perhaps "tofog" would have done better had they requested the musical musings of a certain depressed Saddle Brook, NJ, youngster.

Or John Tesh... oh, how I love John Tesh...

Personally, I think this is all a publicity stunt by "tofog" to get a little bit of press, and then announce that they are re-uniting (reuniting? -- I must admit some uncertainty as to hyphenation here) to a furious round of applause... erm... apathy. I meant apathy.

Also... Allow me to confirm (see "I blog, therefore I am") that I am not Kato... just another member of the Blogger Protection Program unwilling to reveal my true self.

I am, however, the one posting viagra ads on litany's blog. (Sorry).
