On somewhat of a whim I picked up the album
Revolutions by
The X-Ecutioners the other day. I was pleasantly surprised and it was well worth the purchase. I'd say it's a must have for fans of turntablism or hip-hop heads that enjoy the timeless art of scratching. The album features about a half-and-half mix of tracks with vocals and tracks without (other than scratched samples), with appearances by Ghostface Killah, Fat Joe, and B-Real, among others. Although I dig the guest appearances I think I'm more into the tracks that are sans vocals right at the moment, maybe 'cause it's easier to hear them plying their trade. Quality album, I recommend it.
